Chatrooms
I entered a chatroom called celebrity gossip. I was a little skeptical on what I was going to encounter in this chatroom because from what I have been told chatrooms are filled with sketchy people. However this wasn’t the case, this chatroom was mostly about celebrities. There of course was a few obnoxious sketchy people that I expected that would type obscenities and have nothing to say about celebrities but, no one really paid attention to what they where saying. I found out some new gossip and was even able inform people some gossip I knew about celebrities. I really enjoyed this chatroom because I love celebrity gossip whether it be I watch E entertainment or read about it in my star or Us weekly magazine. Not sure however, if I will visit the chatroom again though because I am just not a chatroom type of person.

The Internet is an awesome thing and, at the same time a scary thing. I love the internet and have been fortunate enough to have not seen the scary side but, I do have a few friends that have. If you put something on the internet even if its on a secure site that you think only you can access you are mistaken. Even putting pictures and numbers and other personal things on a phone or a blackberry is almost as dangerous as putting them on the internet. For example take the whole Paris Hilton incedent that happened about a year ago, someone who worked for T-mobile was able to hack into her phone account where he then had access to her contact list as well as pictures she had on there as well as emails she had sent and received and all this was on her phone.
Online shopping is very helpful to people, rather than driving to the mall you can walk right over to your computer. Easier-yes safer-no. In order to purchase anything over the internet you have to enter a credit card number. Once you entered that number and click ok that number is entered into the online community which is used by millions and although you read the box that pops up and says “all information entered on this site is secure and wont be seen by any outside parties” don’t believe it. My friend unfortunately saw the scary side of shopping online. she was buying something off Ebay and entered her credit card number. thought she was good and excited to receive what she had purchased, unfortunately her item never arrived and when her credit card bill did arrive there where items boughten on it that she had never purchased.
The internet is awesome and can be fun and safe if used with caution. Don’t be entering information that you wouldn't post on flyer's and hang up around MA. because even if you think it is safe the chances are that it isn't.

Computers and Cars
Cars today rely more and more on computers to function. Whether it be simply for power windows or the more advanced such as a GPS system.
There has never been a car that did not function without a computer however cars in the past did not use as many computers as cars today use. The engine and parts under the hood power the car, but its the microprocessors that tell it what to do and that has always been the case. Cars in the past had windows that had to be manually rolled down and locks that had to manually be locked with a key. Cars of the past did not have GPS systems and On star systems and radios that you could talk to. These are all systems that we now see in new cars but, cannot function with out the use of computers.
I find it amazing that you can lock your keys in your car by mistake and all you have to do is have Onstar unlock your car by making a phone call. Or instead of taking your hands of the wheel to change the radio station you can just talk to it and tell it what station you want and it will automatically change to that station. The Lexus now has a system where the car can parallel park for you which is amazing because nowadays when taking drivers ed and your driving hours they don’t bother teaching you to parallel park.
The car has come a long way from when it was first invented however the use of computers has always played a major role. I can only imagine what the cars of the future will be able to do. I believe that at some point they will create a car that can drive on its own. Time will only tell though.
